CoARA National Chapter: Slovenia

The mission of the Slovenian National Chapter is to support national research assessment reform on different levels and to serve as a platform for national dialogue.

National Chapter's Objectives

The Slovenian National Chapter (NC) aims to support Slovenia’s national research assessment reform by fostering dialogue among various academic stakeholders. The NC’s mission is to provide a collaborative platform for discussions and knowledge sharing that would help implement a comprehensive, quality-focused research assessment framework that respects research autonomy, diversity, and the impact of research outputs.

Key objectives of the NC include internalizing CoARA principles and commitments in the Slovenian research environment, raising awareness of responsible assessment practices, and promoting international best practices. The long-term impact aims to cultivate a culture of mutual learning, foster the involvement of the research community in reform efforts, and support the adoption of CoARA principles and commitments.

The NC will also facilitate collaboration between CoARA members, enhance the coordination of national research policies, and promote diversity in research assessment. Activities will include regular meetings, national events, and workshops, along with continuous engagement with stakeholders across various research sectors. Through these efforts, the NC seeks to encourage more Slovenian institutions to join CoARA and contribute to the broader international research assessment reform.
