CoARA Working Group OI4RRA Showcases *Pre-Endorsed* Output in Upcoming Webinars
*Note that this output has not yet been endorsed by the CoARA Steering Board, but is a draft output that is currently available for members. Outputs will be officially endorsed by CoARA once the Endorsement Framework has been put in place.*
On 29 April 2025, the CoARA Working Group on Open Infrastructures for Responsible Research Assessment (WG OI4RRA) published the Conceptual Architecture for the Implementation of a Responsible Research Assessment Framework Built on Open Infrastructures. The document introduces a four-tier model to enable fair, transparent, and contextualised research evaluation. It also outlines strategic and technical guidance, in the form of policy briefs, for research-performing and research-funding organisations seeking to adopt open, interconnected, and sustainable infrastructures.
To accompany the publication, WG OI4RRA is hosting two identical webinars to present the key elements of the output and to open a dialogue with the broader research community on making progress towards transparent and interoperable infrastructures for responsible research assessment.
You can sign up for either or both sessions, depending on your availability. Please see details below:
Webinar Dates and Registration:
- Session 1: Friday, 23 May 2025, 11:00-12:00 CEST – Register here
- Session 2: Monday, 26 May 2025, 15:00-16:00 CEST – Register here
The sessions will feature:
- Natalia Manola, Co-Chair of WG OI4RRA, presenting the conceptual framework and its relevance for the wider research assessment reform
- Thanasis Vergoulis, Lead of Subgroup 2, moderating the discussion and sharing reflections from the development process
These webinars are a valuable opportunity to reflect on the technical and policy priorities for effectively transitioning to open infrastructures, and provide an open forum to explore next steps, address key challenges, and identify concrete opportunities for advancing adoption and implementation within and beyond our networks.
